# Lens

> Lens builds Lens Strata, an AI platform for organizations in any industry: search, chat, agents and automated work over their own documents and connected tools, with every answer checked against its sources, every agent action checked before it runs and a record kept of both.

What Lens Strata is: one platform an organization can put AI to work through safely. It replaces the stack of separate AI tools with one system that has the guards and the audit record built in.

What it does:
- Enterprise search across an organization's documents, connected tools, the Lens index and the web, with ranked results and the passage behind each one.
- Chat grounded in the Indexes a team picks, on Lens-hosted models or the customer's own model. Every statement is checked against the sources after it is written; the sources that support it and the sources that dispute it are counted and shown.
- Indexes: an organization's documents and connected sources as collections it controls. Permissions carry through, nothing trains a model and what was read is on the record.
- Agents with standing instructions, attached Indexes and a fixed set of tools. Before an agent acts, the action is checked against the organization's sources. Every action is logged with the evidence behind it and can be reviewed or rolled back. Lens calls this Grounded Actions.
- Apps: repeatable processes over documents and tools, run on demand or on a schedule, with every output line checked and cited.

How it is reached: the Lens Strata web app, a gateway in front of the models a company already uses, an MCP server for the assistants it already runs, an API, and a browser extension.

Lens does not decide what is true. It shows which sources support, dispute or do not address each claim and records what was checked. The Information Quality Standard, Lens Reader and Lens Feed were earlier consumer products and are no longer offered.
